About Fuzz Box Girl
I have been playing guitar for about 7 or 8 years and I have an absolute LOVE for fuzz boxes and all things gear related. I have a few vintage pedals and guitars in my collection that I use on a regular basis. As most of you do, before purchasing a new pedal, amp or guitar… I search youtube to find demonstrations and reviews. Being that I am extremely picky, I like to know all of the ins and outs and capabilities of the gear that I am researching. While there are some amazing demos and reviews available on the internet and youtube, I began to notice that there were many instances where I felt I needed more information from the videos I was watching. I decided to throw my hat into the demo ring and begin recording my own videos of some of the gear I owned in an effort to merely expand the amount of available demos and to present more information than the average demo for the folks like me that wanted more.
I approach my demos from a more organic standpoint in that I am not setting out to showcase my musical abilities (there are many, many more talented guitarists than me on youtube) but rather to make sure that I present as many aspects of the gear as I could. This may include odd sounds that you can get out of a pedal, what the decay of a pedal sounds like if you let it ring out at different settings, just how an odd looking guitar from the 70s sounds like on all pickup settings, etc. I merely saw a small void in the gear demo realm and wanted to fill that with slightly more informative demonstrations, as well as a little levity at the same time.
I have been very fortunate to receive such an outpouring of support from so many of my fellow gearheads and am extremely grateful to all of you for accepting a lady into the fold. I hope to make this blog/website into a small community for all of us that will include gear demos, written reviews, music news, contests, interviews, etc. I look forward to creating and developing this venture with all of my viewers and I thank everyone for their continued support.
