WATCH IN HD FOR BEST SOUND

The 3 pedals run from GOD COMPLEX (classic silicon fuzz) to Tesla (hybrid si/ge fuzz) to T2 (ALL Ge fuzz). The controls are identical, but the sounds are not!

All controls are highly interactive. The INPUT knob will change the sensitivity of the circuit, allowing you to go from RAW, SPITTY, GRUNTY and such (all the way counter-clockwise) to more refined and subtle(clockwise). With everything in between. The drive knob will sputter and spit when maxxed out, but becomes more refined/controlled dialed back just a little.

Basic differences: The GC is silicon. Mid to high gain. It is rather ‘even’ in tone, and can get the modern power sound of say Stone Sour all the way to the about to explode Hendrix sound..In front of a good tube amp that is just at the break up point, it’ll do Black Flag and some hard punk sounds. The best settings seem to be with the drive ALMOST pegged.

The Tesla is a freak of nature. It’s si/ge hybrid sound is very ‘character’ in a vintage or classic sense. It does a marshall blues breaker type lead tone and those slight midrangy but somehow still very powerful rhythm tones we loved in the 70′s. People have commented that they’ve been able to nail SRV, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Satriani, and Eric Johnson with the Tesla. VERY individual and character tone. It hits you square in the chest and has “GIRTH”. It’s you…but MORE you…That’s the hope, at least.

The T2 is ALL GERMANIUM. As such, it does the fuzzy tones from the late 60′s, early 70′s. It’s a mid-gain pedal and probably doesn’t ‘DO’ the super aggressive stuff. It’s well suited for a TRUE vintage blues/hard blues/blues rock/Southern Rock, Ala Skynnard, BTO. Interestingly enough, it’s especially suited for that classic clapton/derek and the dominoes/cream sound. It is truly VINTAGE in sound and classic in design.

The NPD switch basically drops in distortion diodes. It is especially good at the higher gain/drive settings, as the diodes saturate and compress the sound. This is REALLY cool for synth like sounds with harmonic over-tones. It’s good, but not quite perfect.

Side note…. you can also purchase these pedals through my pal Brandon over at Elevation Boutiques
